Free BaZi Calculator with Birthplace and True Solar Time

Generate a free Four Pillars BaZi chart with your birth date, birth time, gender, and birthplace, including true solar time when its location and timezone correction can be applied.

Your birth information is sent to the calculator preview to generate this chart. After a successful result, this browser stores a temporary onboarding draft that expires after 30 minutes.

Gender

If no birth time is set, the initial value is 00:00. Confirm the actual birth time; unknown birth times aren't supported.

This calculator uses birthplace information under its documented calculation policy to handle timezone, historical daylight saving time, longitude, and Equation of Time adjustments. If you cannot find the corresponding city, please select the nearest major city.

Free Bazi Calculator for Your Four Pillars Chart

ChiBuddy's Bazi calculator generates your Four Pillars of Destiny chart from your birth date, birth time, gender, and birthplace. The chart shows the Year, Month, Day, and Hour pillars, with the Day Master as the center of interpretation.

What This Bazi Calculator Shows

Your result includes Heavenly Stems, Earthly Branches, Ten Gods, hidden stems, star phases, Void/Emptiness, Na Yin, Tai Yuan, and Tai Xi. Here are the core chart terms shown in the result.

Four Pillars
The Year, Month, Day, and Hour pillars; each pillar pairs a Heavenly Stem with an Earthly Branch.
Day Master
The Heavenly Stem of the Day Pillar. It is the reference point for classifying relationships with the other stems and branches.
Ten Gods
A relationship category formed by comparing other Heavenly Stems, including stems hidden within branches, with the Day Master. It describes chart structure rather than giving a standalone verdict.
Hidden Stems
The Heavenly Stems contained within each Earthly Branch; they add further structure to the chart.
10-Year Life Cycles (Da Yun)
Ten-year timing layers arranged in stages. They help examine changing themes across life stages rather than make fixed predictions.

Why choose this calculator?

  • The selected birthplace helps determine the local time rules that applied on the birth date.
  • When the birthplace and its local time rules can be determined, the calculator applies the historical daylight saving rules for that date.
  • True solar time uses both longitude and the Equation of Time.
  • Its published conventions cover the Li Chun year boundary, solar-term months, Zi-hour, and midnight day boundary.
  • The result says whether true solar time was applied; it does not label an uncorrected result as corrected.

See the calculation methodology and the five public validation cases for the published scope.

From Chart Generation to Interpretation

A calculator can produce the chart, but a useful Bazi reading needs context: Day Master strength, seasonal influence, Ten Gods relationships, useful elements, Major Luck cycles, and the question you are actually trying to answer. After generating the chart, you can continue into ChiBuddy's AI reading flow for structured interpretation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this BaZi calculator free?

Yes. You can generate a Four Pillars BaZi chart for free, including the Year, Month, Day, and Hour pillars.

What birth information do I need?

Enter your birth date, birth time, gender, and birthplace. The selected birthplace supplies coordinates and a timezone for the calculator to use when available.

Do I need an account to generate a chart?

No. The public chart preview does not require sign-in or registration.

Do I need to adjust for daylight saving time manually?

Enter the time as recorded locally at the birthplace. If the birthplace and its local time rules can be determined, the calculator applies the rules for that date, including historical daylight saving time. If they cannot be determined, it keeps the entered local time.

How does the calculator handle births during the Zi hour?

The Zi hour runs from 23:00 through 00:59. These boundaries use the chart time: corrected true solar time when applied, otherwise the entered local time. The day pillar changes at 00:00; from 23:00 to 23:59, the hour stem uses the following day’s stem.

Can I generate a chart without knowing my birth time?

A specific birth time is required, and the calculator does not infer an unknown time. If you only know an approximate time, the result should be treated as a reference under the time you enter; a different two-hour period can change the Hour pillar.

What does the BaZi chart include?

The chart includes the Day Master, Heavenly Stems, Earthly Branches, Ten Gods, hidden stems, star phases, Void/Emptiness, Na Yin, Tai Yuan, and Tai Xi.

Why might my chart differ from another BaZi calculator?

Results can differ when tools use different true solar time, historical daylight saving, Zi-hour or day-boundary, longitude and Equation of Time, Li Chun, or solar-term month conventions. ChiBuddy publishes its conventions in the calculation methodology.

How are birth details and correction failures handled?

Enter your birth date, time, gender, and birthplace to calculate a chart. After a successful result, this browser saves a temporary draft for the next step that expires after 30 minutes. The result says whether true solar time was applied; if it was not, the chart uses the entered local birth time. This describes this calculator flow only.
