Welcome to ChiBuddy (转运盘). We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains in concrete terms how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
ChiBuddy and 转运盘 are the English and Chinese brand names of the same product. The service and the data practices described in this policy are operated by Gaiaforall.
Free Calculators: Your Birth Data Is Not Saved
The free BaZi calculator, Ziwei calculator, and Chinese Zodiac calculator run on our server — chart computation is not performed in your browser. When you use these tools without logging in:
- Your birth information (birth time, gender, coordinates, timezone) is sent to our server for the calculation only.
- The data is processed in memory and immediately discarded after the result is returned.
- We do not save, store, or log your birth data from free calculator usage.
- No account is needed, and no persistent record of your inputs is created.
If you later log in and save your profile, your birth data is stored to your account so your charts can be reused — see below.
If you do not want your birth data sent to any server, do not use the calculator tools.
Information We Collect
Birth information (for chart calculation)
To generate your BaZi and Ziwei charts, we collect:
- Birth date and time (e.g. "1990-07-15 12:00")
- Birthplace coordinates (latitude, longitude) and IANA timezone name
- Gender (male / female)
Account information
- Email address — used for login and account management
- Nickname — optional display name
- Language preference
Usage data
- Chat history — your questions and the AI's responses
- Chart data — generated BaZi/Ziwei chart results stored on our servers when you are logged in
- Purchase records — feature purchases and payment status
Technical information
- IP address, device information, browser type — collected automatically for service operation and security.
How Long Is Your Data Stored?

AI Analysis: What Data Is Shared
ChiBuddy uses multiple third-party AI models to generate chart analysis and chat responses. To improve reliability, we route different analysis tasks to different models and cross-verify key conclusions across models — this means your data (described below) may be sent to more than one AI provider during a single analysis. When you use the chat or analysis features, the following data is sent to the AI providers:
What is sent
- Your chart data: BaZi chart text (four pillars, hidden stems, nayin), body strength assessment, useful/favorable/unfavorable gods (用神/喜神/忌神), current and all 10-Year Life Cycles (大运)
- Your gender and language preference
- Your questions and chat history (recent messages within the configured history limit)
- Current date and time (for time-sensitive analysis)
What is NOT sent
- Your real name or nickname is not included in the AI prompt
- Your email address is not sent to AI providers
- Your payment information is not sent to AI providers
- Your precise birthplace coordinates are not sent to AI providers (only the computed chart result is sent)
All AI providers are accessed via their official APIs under terms that do not grant them rights to train on your data.
Is Your Data Used to Train AI Models?
No. ChiBuddy does not use your birth data, chart results, or chat history to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models. We do not send your data to any model training pipeline.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With your explicit consent.
- To comply with laws and regulations or respond to legal processes.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of ChiBuddy, our users, or the public.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls.
AI Fortune Analysis
ChiBuddy uses artificial intelligence technology to analyze your astrological information:
- Analysis results are generated by algorithms and AI models and are for reference only.
- Results do not constitute advice from professional fortune tellers or psychological counselors.
- You understand and agree to the limitations of AI-generated content.

Payment processors receive only the minimum information needed to complete the transaction. They do not receive your birth data or chart results.
Minors Protection
ChiBuddy does not provide services to minors under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and update your personal information (birth data, nickname, language) in your account settings.
- Delete your account and data. You can permanently delete your account and the associated personal data (birth information, chart data, chat history, and other data linked to your account) at any time, without contacting us. To do so, sign in and go to Records → Account Management → Delete Account. This action is irreversible — once confirmed, your data is removed from our servers and cannot be recovered. Please note that payment records may be retained separately as required by the E-Commerce Law.
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated policies will be posted on this page with the last update date noted. Significant changes will be highlighted.
