Birth information used for the chart
The calculator uses your recorded local birth date, birth time, gender, and birthplace to generate a Ziwei natal chart. Because birth time is interpreted through traditional two-hour periods, an accurately recorded time matters.
What the chart organizes
The resulting natal chart organizes the Twelve Palaces, including the Life Palace and Body Palace, with star placements, Four Transformations, and major-cycle and annual timing context. These are chart structures for further interpretation, rather than fixed predictions.
How birthplace and clock time are corrected
When the supplied birthplace and time information can be resolved, the calculator checks the applicable historical time-zone and daylight-saving rules, adjusts for the birthplace longitude, and includes the Equation of Time. The resulting true solar time is then used to determine the traditional two-hour period for the Ziwei chart. If the required information cannot be resolved, the calculator keeps the entered local time rather than inventing a correction.
Why chart results can differ between tools
Different tools may begin with differently recorded birth details, interpret traditional birth periods differently, or omit historical time-zone, daylight-saving, longitude, or Equation-of-Time corrections.
