How the basic analysis works
The rule-based calculation compares the Day Master, Day Branch, and Five Elements complementarity in the two Bazi charts. The selected purpose changes the relative weighting of these three components.
How to read the compatibility result
The resonance score combines three observation angles, each scored 0–100:
- Day Master interaction — how the two Day Masters relate (combining, generating, similar, or overcoming), reflecting personality and communication tendencies.
- Day Branch (Spouse Palace) interaction — the traditional spouse-palace comparison (six harmonies, three harmonies, clash, harm, or punishment), reflecting domestic and intimate harmony tendencies.
- Five Elements complementarity — whether each chart’s elemental needs are supported by the other chart.
The total resonance score is an organizing aid that summarizes these three angles for the selected purpose. It is not an objective probability of relationship outcomes. The selected relationship purpose changes which angle receives more emphasis (romance emphasizes the spouse palace, business emphasizes complementarity).
Because the charts depend on birth time and place, differences in birth data or calculation conventions (true solar time, historical time zone, daylight saving time) can change the result.
